Marianne, thanks for the tip! I hate the idea of throwing perfectly good things away, and that’s definitely a lot more economical. The bad news is, I just threw some out that had runs in them but whose toes would’ve still worked for this. The good news is, Jade seems to be over the itchiness enough that we might not have to have another oatmeal bath. But! I will keep in mind for future cases of chicken pox (for future kids, I hope, and not Jade again).

Shannon, we have a bike trailer, which I believe is shown to be a much safer option than a bike seat. For one thing, the trailer stays upright even when the bike falls over… She loves it! It’s actually a double, so there’ll be room for a sibling in there, and there’s lots of cargo space for our jackets, drinks, etc. And it converts to a stroller. Money well-spent, in our opinions!
