Jade was being squirrelly. My patience was wearing thin. I tried reasoning (ha! with a two-year-old!). I tried distraction. I tried hugs. Finally, in exasperation I spat out, “Oh, grow UP!”
Then immediately clapped my hand to my mouth in horror.
