I was quite pleased with our Christmas tree this year, which we put up just this evening. I was very pleased until it fell over about 10 minutes ago. Many Christmas balls were slain in the disaster.
Clean-up can’t be completed until tomorrow, since vacuuming would likely wake up the little miss snoozing directly downstairs. Luckily, the tree fell fairly quietly, considering.

Our X’mas tree fell over last year. We got water, pine needles and broken ornaments everywhere. My mother-in-law used the vacuum to clean up before Hubby finished moping up the floor, so the needles were wet/damp when going into the vacuum. The air expelled from our vacuum smelled of X’mas tree. We keep forgetting to buy a new vacuum bag (it was a new bag too, darn it!) and we were smelling X’mas tree well into the summer when one of us finally remembered to buy the bag. Hahah…
Glad you didn’t have the candles lit
My tree’s been massacred by little four year old hands that just can’t stop touching and pulling everything. It’s driving me crazy! Maybe an accidental knock over is just what I need- that way I could put everything away and call it a day!
