Michael’s off to Big Band rehearsal, and the girls are both sleeping. I know this party won’t last long; if Jade continues her pattern of the last few nights, she’ll be awake and crying in about an hour. Halia wouldn’t sleep more than 45 minutes all day today (and that only happened once) but she’s now asleep in the swing cradle. This is great, because it’s setting me up to be one of those moms whose baby won’t sleep anywhere except in the swing.
(Doesn’t my optimism just bowl you over? I’m not in a pessimistic mood, really, just trying out some dry humour there. Heh heh.)
As Michael was going out the door and we realized both girls were actually asleep at the same time (at bedtime, no less) I threw up my hands and said, “Wow, now I get to do something really fun. Like put away the Christmas ornaments.”
Instead, I thought I’d put in a few minutes on the blog.
But that’s all you’re going to get for an update because Halia just woke up, and she’s MAD.
