- Blogging when cranky is a bit like drinking and driving. Things really aren’t that bad here. Especially after a short afternoon nap with Halia.
- If anyone were to walk into my house right now, they’d think I was pregnant. I am eating Nutella straight out of the jar. I needed a chocolate fix, like, bad. But there are only a few scrapings of the stuff left in this jar, not enough to spread on a piece of bread. Hence the spoon.
- I’ve been working on an update post about Jade for a week now. The picture posts take the longest to create, and it makes me kind of cranky to upload the pictures to WordPress. Cranky is bad these days, so it’s taking a while.
- Thanks to all of you for your messages of support. And for adding your own confessions, pretty much all of which I could have added to my list. It was such fun reading your confessions, I really should have made it a meme. Jenny already wrote her own post to make me feel better. If you decide to do a confessional post, let me know in the comments and I’ll link to you.
- Michael made a delicious beef and veggie stir-fry for supper last night. So I’m doing better on the veggie front. And I drank about two pots of tea today, so I’m doing better on the fluids, too.
- Michael and I are in the middle of watching the seventh season of Smallville. Just a few episodes every evening. Just enough to make us stay up until just after midnight. Which accounts for the morning crankiness. I’m thinking I’ll have tons of time on my hands for folding laundry and filing once we’re done watching it.
- I’m procrastinating right now. Michael is out walking Nanuq and I should really finish weighing out little packages of 11 g of chicken breast for freezing.
- We have fabulous neighbours. This week, we were given split pea soup, spaghetti sauce, and a quiche. Plus someone shovelled our driveway. Which is amazing because there was a crazy amount of snow on it.
- It was zero degrees today. That is totally t-shirt weather after the weeks and weeks of -35 °C we’ve had. Jade and I went tobagganing! Wow, to be outside! Oops, mustn’t forget, Halia went, too. She was all quiet and asleep in my amauti, though; it was almost like she wasn’t there. (Oh, and for my readers from south of the 49th, 0 degrees Celsius is 32 °F, while -35 °C is -31 °F. Also known as friggin’ cold.)
