Crib 1, Crook 0

16 Jan
I forgot to mention that the masking tape trick in the crib worked. When we got home on Friday, I peeked into the crib and noticed the tape had a distinctly rumpled look. Not only that, but on closer inspection, I could see 6 little paw prints and an assortment of black and grey tabby hairs stuck to it. This, to me, says Crook jumped in and then got out again as fast as he could! Hooray! I hope that means he’ll never want to get back in there.
As an aside, I was rather horrified to note that the cat’s paws were dirty enough to leave little grey prints on the tape.
Now we’ll just have to start encouraging him not to go into the room at all; I thought we’d be home-free as long as he didn’t get into the crib, but yesterday I discovered that he had discovered the drawer under the crib. It’s full of blankets and crib sheets, and there’s quite enough space for a cat to make his bed there . . . *sigh* Back to the drawing board.

Better under the crib than in it.

close the door and make it a cat\’s not allowed room…otherwise you\’ll never win (I"ve got 3 cats).make sure they can\’t get into dressers from the underside either. The rule of thumb is that if there head can fit then the whole body can\’s really don\’t like 2 sided tape (good for you)most don\’t like water. (get a water gun)and if you notice your cat where it should be make sure you let it know with a yell and a good smack (truly it\’s the only way they will really listen to you – and yeah make the smak count)anyway if you need more sudjestions just let us konw!have fun!

I\’m sure those suggestions are great – for cats that don\’t TRY to get into trouble! 🙂
