Non-MSN users can now leave comments!

8 Nov
A lot of my friends’ blogs are on Blogger rather than MSN; I’ve thought about switching but since the whole point of my blog is to keep friends and family up-to-date on our lives, the easy photo-sharing nature of MSN is essential.  So to MSN Spaces I will stick.

Anyway, I really like that Blogger users can allow anonymous comments from people without Blogger accounts.  But MSN doesn’t allow that.  I know at least one person in the family who refuses to get an MSN passport and who therefore can’t leave comments.  So I have come up with a solution for people like him.

As you can see in my new tagline, I have created an MSN Passport for my blog guests.  All you have to do is sign in as "fawnsguest" with the password "99Nanuq" and you can leave a comment without having to sully your soul by getting an MSN account.  Please remember to uncheck the "Use my profile information" checkbox and put your name in (or at least a reasonable alias) so that I know who you are.

This is an experiment for the moment.  If I get a ton of inappopriate comments, I’ll just get rid of the account.  So use your power for good, not evil.
