Come one, come all. Delurk, delurk!

28 Aug

Photo stolen from LexnGer on Flickr

I know that there are “official” delurking days, but I don’t think I have the patience to wait for one. (Besides, it seems like exactly the kind of thing that I would miss when it happens.) So I’ve decided to hold one of my own β€” today is “official delurking day” at Fawnahareo’s Place!

Maybe you don’t know what a lurker is. A lurker is someone who waltzes in, reads the news, and runs off again without saying so much as a peep. (Yeah you! The one behind the potted plant! That’s right, I’m talkin’ ’bout you.) I’m happy to have you visit, of course. I love it that you stop by, and you are under no obligation to comment when you do. But I LOVE comments! And besides, I’m curious about you.

This wee blog here gets an average of 150 visits a day, but the average number of comments per post is more like three or four; I don’t even have to break a sweat doing that math. I can tell that there must be some of you out there who aren’t saying hello. (Aha! I just spotted another one back there behind the couch.)

I understand the no commenting, I do! In the craziness of the last few months, I have had to curtail my commenting because I really need to sleep more than an hour every night. But, just ’cause I feel like it, today’s the day to take a minute and leave me some comment love, dear readers. If you have a blog, I promise I will come visit and do the same for you! (It might take me a few days, but I’ll be there!)

Just to make things more fun, I’ve decided this is a good time to have my first ever giveaway! All you have to do is leave a comment, and you’ll be entered to win a prize. What’s the prize? Well, some time ago, I came into possession of a comedy that was already in our movie collection. Everyone enjoys a good comedy right? So if you win, the movie is yours, plus I’ll throw in a little extra “made in Yukon” surprise.

And to make things even easier, I’ll even give you something to comment about. Here’s what I wanna know:

  1. How did you first find my blog?
  2. What kinds of posts do you like to read? (Family updates, Yukon lifestyle, music, pregnancy progress…)
  3. Are you a blogger? (And if you are, leave me a link, of course!)

Be sure to leave a valid e-mail address so that I can contact you if you win. Anyone who comments by next Wednesday, September the 3rd is in the game. Regular commenters are welcome to participate, too, of course!

So, what are you waiting for? Let me hear from you!

    I’m first! I’m delurking!

How did you first find my blog?
I first found it a few years algo when Mike and Nem began dating. Nem had shared her blog with me, and I was snooping around the links on her blog. Who knew one family could turn out two clever bloggers!?

What kinds of posts do you like to read? (Family updates, Yukon lifestyle, music, pregnancy progress…)

I think my favorites are the family updates and the funny little day to day things (cover me in butter! LOL!)

Are you a blogger? (And if you are, leave me a link, of course!)

Nope, I gave it a shot but I am not talented in that area. I just enjoy reading blogs.

Hi Jamie! Nice to know you’re coming to visit!

  2. Catrina August 28, 2008 at 9:38 am #

How did you first find my blog? My DH

What kinds of posts do you like to read? Pregnancy updates are cool because it helps me know what to expect, since I’m only about 4-5 weeks ‘behind’ you

    Are you a blogger? Yep!

Heh, heh! Well, I hope your pregnancy is more like the one I had with Jade… so much easier! I shouldn’t complain, though. Those exercises from the physio have been helping a lot.

  3. Malva August 28, 2008 at 10:50 am #

Hey! I’m not true lurker, I comment once in a while. πŸ™‚

How did you first find my blog?
    Through Urban Yukon I think.

What kinds of posts do you like to read?
    Yukon lifestyle

    Are you a blogger?
    No πŸ™‚

You’re right, you’re not a lurker, and I love you for it! πŸ˜€

  4. Meandering Michael August 28, 2008 at 10:55 am #

Hi, I’m a long time reader.

How did you first find my blog?
My wife told me about it.

What kinds of posts do you like to read?
I like everything you write about, but I also visit your blog because I think you’re hot.

    Are you a blogger?

    I think you’re hot, too.

  5. Susan August 28, 2008 at 11:01 am #

Michael’s Meandering was the first blog I’d ever read.
Then I found out that his wife had a blog and now I’m hooked on blogs. I feel like I’m friends with you even though we’ve never met.
When Jade was ill, I cried, spent sleepless nights and worried, probably as much as if we were best friends.
I like reading about family life and Yukon lifestyle, I love the north and made my first trip to the Yukon in 2007.
    No, I’m not a blogger.(yet). I’ve kept a journal for years, I guess that’s an unpublished blog…..but who knows!!
We lurkers are out here and even if we don’t comment much, we care. So keep on blogging, even though you are going to be really busy when Nugget comes, hopefully you will find a few minutes to let us know how things are going.

Welcome, Susan! Thanks for taking a minute to leave a comment this time. πŸ™‚ I’m touched that you feel so much sympathy for us. I managed to keep blogging through Jade’s babyhood, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to do it again.

  6. Kara August 28, 2008 at 11:10 am #

Well I comment all the time, so I should win a prize just for that!

I found your blog while researching our move away from Nunavut.

I love baby/kid posts and outdoor stuff, but I will ready pretty near everything on northern bloggers sites.

Yep, into my third year blogging!

You’re right, you should win a prize for that! Hmmm…

  7. Janet August 28, 2008 at 11:29 am #

I’m not a true lurker either, since I comment from time to time. Does that make me a semi-lurker? A part time lurker? A quasi-lurker? I do faithfully read your blog…like some others who have posted here, I think I found it through Urban Yukon. I have my own blog and am trying to work up nerve enough to join Urban Yukon so my site will be more widely read, but I’m still not convinced that anybody apart from my family and close friends would actually find it of interest.

Well, I’m not family and I never knew you before you commented on my blog the first time, but I read your blog faithfully, too. If that isn’t proof of wider interest, I don’t know what is. πŸ™‚ And I think making comments regularly (not necessarily every post) makes you a non-lurker. It’s great to have you around!

  8. MIQuilter August 28, 2008 at 1:14 pm #

I, too, am a semi-lurker…. mostly lurk – occassionally comment. I’m that way on a lot of sites. To answer you:

How did you first find my blog?
my sister – MommyTime ( told me about you a few months ago. I’ve been a regular reader since.

What kinds of posts do you like to read?
eh – I’m not that particular – pretty much anything πŸ™‚

    Are you a blogger?
i very occasionally post on my sisters site (see above) but mostly I just write blogs in my head and they never get onto the internets. really my life isn’t that interesting to warrant a blog and it would just depress me to have nobody reading it…..

Oh, I don’t believe that you’re life isn’t interesting enough! You make such fabulous quilts, for starters. But not everyone has the passion to be a quilter and that’s true of blogging, too. πŸ™‚ I’ve really appreciated your words of support – thanks for commenting!

  9. Simply Shannon August 28, 2008 at 3:51 pm #

I’m in the same category as everyone else I guess…as I’m pretty sure that I’ve commented before.

I think I found you through McMommy, but I don’t really remember for sure.

Not sure I have a preference for type of post…it’s all interesting to me.

    Yes, I have a blog.

Hi Shannon! Isn’t McMommy the bestest? I’ve got so many new blog addictions because of her, darnit. Glad to have you here!

  10. Me! August 28, 2008 at 4:57 pm #

Hi Fawn – been reading your site for a while so will delurk cause you asked!

How did you first find my blog? Can’t remember the exact date but it was about the same time I found UrbanYukon!

What kinds of posts do you like to read? (Family updates, Yukon lifestyle, music, pregnancy progress…) How Jade is doing, how your pregnancy is going, how your Yukon life is going.

Are you a blogger? (And if you are, leave me a link, of course!) NO – I tend to live vicariously through others!

Hi, Me! Do you always comment as Me!?! I must say it feels strange to be talking to myself. πŸ˜‰ I remember that you left a comment once before. You are such a mystery…

  11. Marianne August 28, 2008 at 5:12 pm #

I found your blog through Michael’s Meanderings at least a year ago, probably longer. (I knew Mike in person during our high school years through Guiding/Scouting in Ottawa).
I enjoy reading all kinds of posts. At first I was most interested in the Yukon lifestyle, but now I’m hooked on keeping up with your family updates and everything else, too! I’m not a blogger … I tried it but to be a blogger you really need to write something more than a few times a year.

Hi Marianne! Oh, it’s so fun to learn about where people come from! I didn’t realize you were a friend of Michael’s. πŸ™‚

  12. Ripplebliss August 28, 2008 at 7:12 pm #

Hey, Fawni! “lurker” sounds so sinister. I prefer “voyeur” since we are peering into your naked thoughts! Less sinister, I guess, but more slimy… πŸ˜›

I found your blog when you were preggers with Jade. I’ve been reading it since.

I like to read the variety of things that you post. In particular, though, I enjoy it when you vent your frustrations, because I can TOTALLY relate to that! πŸ™‚

Yes, I blog, but not as often as I should!

Hey, you’re a busy mommy and owner of a new house. Plus you actually do housework. I get that blogging isn’t always the top priority! πŸ™‚

  13. Nem August 28, 2008 at 7:58 pm #

    1) I’m your sister, and I like to think I got you into the crazy world of blogging. Even if it isn’t true, you must give me this one little victory. Us little sisters don’t get to be first often… πŸ˜‰

    2) Everything and anything. I guess I could phone, too, but then you’d just have to repeat yourself. πŸ˜‰

    3) Yes, yes I do… in a manner of speaking.

You DID get me into blogging. For that, and a million other things, I thank you!

  14. Lisa August 28, 2008 at 8:01 pm #

Thanks for visiting my blog and for the comments that you left. I am so sorry to hear that your child is having issues with epilepsy. Elisabeth started having seizures at 6 weeks old. She takes Keppra and it does an amazing job of controling them. The infantile spasms started the first week of May…unfortunately, normal epilepsy meds don’t work on them. So the ketogenic diet is the 3rd thing we have tried to control these darn spasms. In the past few days we have seen a huge difference in the frequency of the spasms. Hurray! I’ll be posting about it tomorrow.

The ketogenic diet is definately worth trying. I’ll bookmark your blog and stop by again. Take care.

I’m am sooo pleased to hear that great news, Lisa! Thanks for coming by. I’ll be around your blog, too.

  15. stacie August 28, 2008 at 8:29 pm #

Hi Fawn. Also delurking because you asked, and, well, it’s the polite thing to do! I’ve been reading for a year or so. Found you through Urban Yukon. After a trip to the Yukon, I was browsing blogs to read about those who get to live in such a wonderful place. Yours is the one I still read after all this time πŸ™‚

I enjoy keeping up with what you and your family are doing. I love hearing about both the big – dealing with Jade’s heath issues – as well as small – keeping up with housework – parts of life. Love what you share about your music. And of course, as someone who lives in a different part of the world, I love hearing about the changing of the seasons in Whitehorse and the Yukon.

Thank you for sharing your stories with readers (silent or otherwise)!

Hi Stacie, and thanks so much for delurking! I am so flattered that you wanted to stick around. πŸ™‚ Sharing my stories is so rewarding; it’s been such a source of support and strength through rough times, but it wouldn’t work nearly so well with no readers. So thank YOU!

  16. jyl @ mommygossip August 29, 2008 at 6:18 am #

I love this post. First, the title. Next, your writing style. Third, the content. It’s awesome!

Here’s my answers to your questions:
    1. I was on mamasphere a few minutes ago and found you there. This is my first time on your blog. I am new to blogging, but I will definitely add you on my blogroll.
    2. I like to read a hodgepodge of posts. Yesterday, I found myself roaming from one emotion to the next as I learned about sick children, funny interviews, husband’s eating habits, etc. It is soooo fun to feel connected in my mommyness.
    3. I blog at My site is under construction, but just put a hard hat on first and you’ll be fine. I update daily–sometimes more, because I am having so much fun!

One more thing… I definitely am interested in learning more about life in the Yukon.

Welcome to the blogosphere, Jyl, and thanks for your kind words. I’ve really appreciated the connections I’ve made through blogging, too, whether with moms, dads, fellow Yukoners, or just people who’ve decided to be friends through commenting. I’m looking forward to visiting your site!

  17. Murray August 29, 2008 at 7:00 am #

Well I was going to just lurk today, but now I can’t of course! I found you a long time ago, either through Michael’s blog or UrbanYukon, I’m not sure which. I enjoy the variety of your writing – no particular focus attracts me more. I have 2 blogs, my primary one at and a new (a month old) one at that specializes in current travel deals.

Haha! Well, thanks for humouring me, Murray. πŸ™‚ I’m glad to have you around. And I must add: folks, if Yukon lifestyle is what you love to read about, Murray’s always got great posts and photos over at his blogs.

  18. Geof Harries August 29, 2008 at 7:24 am #

Janet – I can also just add your blog to Urban Yukon and you’ll quickly find out who wants to read it.

I’m always curious if you read everything that gets posted to Urban Yukon, or if you just pay particular attention to the posts that talk about your site! As you can see, Geof, Urban Yukon has been the conduit for many of my readers finding their way here. Thank you!

  19. fawnahareo August 29, 2008 at 9:01 am #

Wheee! I’m having so much fun! I wonder if anyone else will come out of the wood-work? Thanks to everyone who has commented so far. πŸ˜€

  20. Jennifer August 29, 2008 at 9:43 am #

Hi Fawn…..OK….I guess I will “delurk” too…though I think I did comment once months ago…..:-)

    1. How did you first find my blog? I found your blog through Urban Yukon….and like Janet – I am trying to figure out if I should sign up too….problem is – I am a super sporadic blogger…..*sigh*
    2. What kinds of posts do you like to read? (Family updates, Yukon lifestyle, music, pregnancy progress…) I will read pretty much anything – I just like finding people who have a way with words. I do love all of those UrbanYukoners!
    3. Are you a blogger? (And if you are, leave me a link, of course!) As I said in answer #1 – I blog sporadically….most recently about my experience in grad school at UVic….

Thanks for prompting us to come out from behind the ficus….it’s kind of liberating!

Ahhh, a ficus! I always wondered what that plant was! πŸ˜‰ Welcome, Jennifer!

  21. jyl @ mommygossip August 29, 2008 at 10:05 am #

I know it is my first time to your site, but I loved it. So… I sent you a little love along with an award. Check out my site to grab it.

    Have a great day!

Oh my, thank you! That would be my first blog award ever; how exciting!

  22. Peaeater August 29, 2008 at 11:02 am #

    1. How I found your blog.

Did I find it, or did it find me? Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?* Heck, I was commenting back in the *day* when it took safecracking skills to get past the Windows Live Spaces folderol. That’s when it was all about *dedication*. Not like these kids today.

    2. What posts I like to read.

I like your witty frustrations. I like it when you and Michael write about the same thing and your perspectives clash like marital broadswords. Or cup each other like marital spoons in a drawer.

    3. Am I a blogger.

Yes, less often than I’d like. I love to write, but it takes me an hour to produce a paragraph. I’m like a glacier pushing ink across the page. Funny, because my typing speed is insane.

    Peaeater (the fun blog)

Andornot Developer Blog (the technical blog)

    * Yeah, I just read Sabriel by Garth Nix again.

I just love it when you comment, Peter! It nearly always makes me double over laughing. (No pressure or anything.) That, or else I admire your wonderfully-apt metaphors. Or similies. The spoons! The glacier! No wonder it takes you an hour to construct a paragraph. It makes me all the more grateful for your nuggets of wit here.

  23. Geof Harries August 29, 2008 at 12:24 pm #

Fawn – I often check Urban Yukon a couple of times per day, sometimes just a few visits per week. I’m of course interested in what’s going on at the moment, but it’s also because I want to ensure the site is up and running! I’m stoked UY has been a channel for people to find your blog, as that’s always been the purpose: to find and promote my fellow Yukon bloggers.

If life and weather weren’t so crazy right now, I’d say it was time to attempt another Urban Yukon get-together…

  24. Christina August 29, 2008 at 1:33 pm #

Hello! I think this will be my 2nd comment on your blog now, but here goes!:

How did you first find my blog?
The all-powerful force of facebook linked me up with Michael, whom I went to high school with. This led me to his blog, and then to yours! I realized too that I think I met you once at a wedding and that I think both of you know my sister from university. Ottawa is a small, small world.

What kinds of posts do you like to read?
I enjoy all of your posts really, but appreciate reading about your insights on life and family in the context of the anecdotes you share. I’m also so impressed with how open and honest your posts always are!

    Are you a blogger?
Hm – Well, I do have a little blog, although it’s been fairly neglected, so I won’t go as far as to call myself a blogger just yet. πŸ™‚

Hi Christina! Oh, but the photos on your blog are wonderful. I’m sure gems like that don’t come along every day. πŸ™‚ Thanks for reading!

  25. MommyTime August 29, 2008 at 6:14 pm #

I think I found your blog because you found me first — but I can’t remember. I LOVE all your posts because I feel like I’m getting to know a real person not a persona created for the internet. You know about my blog, obviously, so I’m going to ask you a question instead (if that’s okay): what kinds of blog posts do YOU most like to read when you’re out surfing?

You’re right, I did find you first, but I can’t for the life of me remember how anymore. I was absolutely floored when you responded almost right away (on my blog or by e-mail…) to the very first comment I ever left on your blog, a gracious gesture I have tried to emulate ever since. And since you’re one of the bloggers I most admire, I feel honoured that you keep coming back.

You do always like to turn the rules upside-down, don’t you? (I LOVE that!) To answer your question: I love posts that show what witty, brilliant, and straight-forward little people our children are. I love self-deprecating stories that show us to be the lovable, imperfect people we are. I love posts written from the heart that allow us to feel connected to each other as friends. And some good “thinky” posts are like the chicken in a chicken caesar — something satisfying to chew on in the midst of all the tasty, indulgent dressing. (Oof, I think that metaphor needs a bit of work.) πŸ˜‰

  26. maleesha August 29, 2008 at 7:49 pm #

What a great idea! I have commented before of course, but it’s fun to see the comments from others. My favorite posts of yours are the ones that give me a little glimpse into Yukon life!

Well, you’ll definitely hear more about it as the weather changes now, already surely sliding toward winter. I often think of your gold-mine of a garden as I watch the construction of our new workshop / shed / greenhouse unfold. Maybe next year we’ll be comparing produce! I’m still curious how you found me, though!

  27. Luella August 29, 2008 at 9:56 pm #

    Well Fawn,

I’m a lurker, mostly cuz if I want to say something to you I email you instead.

    To answer your questions:

    1. I honestly don’t remember how I first came to read your blog. Most recently Nem asked if I was reading it when all the stuff with Jade started so I got hooked then.

    2. What type of post, all posts, I’m curious by nature so enjoy reading about other’s lives.

    3. And not a blogger, probably never will be.

Anyway hope all is well with you and michael and jade and nugget. Luella

Hi, Luella! I didn’t know you’d been reading! I’m so glad we’re back in touch again.

  28. Captain Momma August 30, 2008 at 1:02 pm #

I lurked for quite awhile since I found you on Nicole’s blog and you didn’t know who I was. Now you do!

Its my quiet time and I like to have a peek into other lives adn see what people are up to!

    Happy delurking days!

Thanks, Kelli! I’d been thinking of doing this post for a while, but your out-of-the-blue comment last week was what made me decide to finally go ahead and do it. It’s such fun to learn about the people who are coming by to visit and to get a better idea of what my readership likes.

  29. Mike August 30, 2008 at 1:52 pm #

    Hallo Fawn,
    FΓΌhl Dich umarmt!Was ist Delurk?

Hallo Mike! Es freue mich Dich hier zu sehen! Ich werde Dich eine Mail schicken, falls Du kommst nicht zurueck um meiner Antwort zu lesen.

  30. Suzanne August 30, 2008 at 4:10 pm #

Like quite a few of your readers, I am a quasi-lurker. I leave comments every so often.

I found your blog through Mike’s. I knew him in Ottawa from Guiding/Scouting as well as our first year of University. One day, he wrote something like “there’s no point in my writing it when my wife has already done it here” and then linked to you. I’ve been hooked ever since.

I enjoy hearing about your family and it’s interesting to see how our lives are different, yet so much the same, when you live so far away. I also enjoy the “mommy moments”, because I have them all too often.

And like Susan, I was sick with worry when Jade started having seizures. I even emailed a friend in Vancouver when you wrote that blog to your godparents about Mike being alone in the hospital. I don’t know what ever happened, but Doug set out with a box of granola bars at some point that day. I never heard what happened after that…

    Nope, not a blogger.

Oh, Suzanne!!! I’m so sorry we never acknowledged that! I don’t think we actually saw Doug; we got the granola bars (though I seem to remember pretzels, too??) through a nurse who said the guy told her we had a mutual friend in Ottawa named “Sue”. Michael immediately thought of his friend Garrett’s mom Sue because we’d been in touch with her about Garrett’s childhood epilepsy. She must’ve been so darned confused about the thank you e-mail we sent her! So thank YOU for your guardian angel ways!!! Thanks for caring that much. And thanks for reading.

  31. Asheya August 30, 2008 at 5:42 pm #

I like to leave comments occasionally πŸ™‚

I think I first found out about your blog from you!

I like the posts about your life, so pretty much everything you post! It’s how I stay in touch with you in the midst of our busy lives.

    Yep, a blogger.

Isn’t it crazy that we talk more often online than in person, considering we live a 10-minute drive away from each other? These kids are crampin’ our social lives. πŸ˜‰

  32. Mamasphere August 31, 2008 at 9:35 am #

Hey! I don’t remember how I first found you. I have sever mommy brain and don’t have room to file away things like that, lol. Though it may have been through another site that blogged about a sick child and linked to you.

I love all of your posts- I don’t have a category preference. Actually, I had you in my reader but it never showed that you had new posts. On a lurk, I linked to your blog through a comment you left me, and there was MONTHS worth of posts I hadn’t seen! I’ve renewed your link on my reader (it’s working now).

I’m a blogger- but you know that because you leave me such great comments!

Hunh, isn’t that strange? Something similar happened to my sister and to a friend. I wonder if I’ve lost anyone else for technical reasons? Anyway, glad to be back on your list!

  33. allmycke September 1, 2008 at 8:23 pm #

Actually, I guess I don’t qualify as a lurker, but what the hey!

Can’t remember how I found your blog – but I guess it was when I searched on Yukon or something like that.

I enjoy reading everything, but recipes on cookies leave me cold since I’m the worst baker there is! I might as well use the oven to store Tupperware since I use it so seldom.

    Yep, I’m a blogger

Lurker, non-lurker — I’m just thrilled to see everyone here! I like the image of storing Tupperware in the oven, though perhaps you might put pots and pans in instead, so that the consequences are less terrible if it accidentally gets turned on. πŸ˜‰ I’ll try to make sure my recipe posts include a good mix of non-baking.

  34. Beth September 2, 2008 at 7:55 am #

How did you first find my blog? Well I found your blog after reading Michaels blog. I was part of Joint Council (
Guiding/Scouting) way back in the day with him!

What kinds of posts do you like to read? Pretty much anything! It’s neat to get your family updates and life up in the Yukon!

Are you a blogger? Well, I was at one point and well, it just kind of died off. I didn’t feel like I really had anything to blog about!

Hi Beth! I don’t think I remember seeing a comment from you before, so welcome and thanks so much for delurking. πŸ˜€ I think you’re the third former Guiding/Scouting friend of Michael’s to make your way here; with all this good company, I know I really missed something by never being involved in Scouts myself.

  35. The Donald September 2, 2008 at 8:59 am #

I started reading your blog after you left a comment on my wife’s (Lisa) blog. So I have only read it a few times. Good luck dealing with the epilepsy issue.

Thanks for stopping by, Don, and thanks for the words of encouragement. I’m looking forward to hearing more good news about Elisabeth. πŸ™‚

How did you first find my blog?
I am long time friends with Jamie (above). I found your site through her msn space (via her sister in law’s space) a long time ago. Been “lurking” off and on ever since.

What kinds of posts do you like to read? All of it, really. And I happen to have a son very close in age to Jade and a new baby on the way, so of course the parenting/pregnancy posts feel very relevant to me.

Are you a blogger? I have an msn space. Haven’t really grown up into a full fledged blogger, but would like to…maybe on this mat leave?

I really enjoyed visiting your blog — I hope you do find a way to become a full-fledged blogger, because I think you’d be great! And we have lots in common with the two kids and dogs with allergies. πŸ™‚ Hope to see you around commenting again!

Come out, come out, wherever you are I had no idea that here are blogs just devoted to lurking. WOW! Google it and see.

I found your blog through another Yukon blog, not Michael’s.

I read it once a week mainly for the northern news more than the mommy news, alho that is pretty exciting and interesting also.

Comments on your blog, never. I’ll pass on the prize. Only responded for the fun of it and because you asked and you ask for so little.

No I am not a blogger. That is not part of my genetic makeup. The information highway and its poyential (while I use it extensively for my own personal, professional and research purposes) scares me immensely. All that big brother collecting data stuff. I wonder when computers will become self aware!!

Well, thanks very much for indulging me this time; I very much appreciate it! I never thought of my blog as a source of northern news. Except perhaps a report on the weather. Yep, it’s definitely fall in the Yukon. πŸ˜‰
