Feelin’ groovy

3 Sep

I’m not sure what it is, but these last few weeks, my energy and mood have just really picked up.  Maybe it’s because…

… I haven’t had any significant back pain for a couple of weeks

… I’m getting out and walking the dog more often — ahhh, that fresh air!

… Jade seems to be doing so much better — only two seizures yesterday, and they lasted only a second each

… Although we haven’t had much of a summer, we’re having beautiful weather for fall

… the constructions of our workshop / shed / greenhouse is finally underway, and it’s going up so fast, I’m dizzy

… Nugget keeps kicking up a storm to remind me s/he’s doing well

The house is still a mess, Michael’s away with our car until Saturday, I’m worried about getting projects done before I go on leave at work, I’m stressed about making travel arrangements for Christmas… but I feel SOOO much better than I have most of this summer!

What makes you happy today?

Today’s the last day to comment on the delurking post for your chance to win the giveaway!

i can honestly say that every single day, something reminds me how very lucky i am to be living my dream of being a stay-at-home mom! i got my period today (first time in over a year) and was so relieved to just be able to lie down when maggie took her nap, not to mention feeling free to take as many drugs as i wanted for the pain!!! i’m not usually a druggie except for that first day of my cycle… then? BRING IT ON!!!! 🙂

I love to laugh. My husband has the best sense of humor and it just makes me happy.

Other things: Cheese, sunsets, traveling, reading a good book and having my mind open to other ideas and perspectives, friends, friends, and more friends, and pedicures.

BTW: I have epilepsy. I feel like I just admitted to a drug addiction. Anyway… I write freely about it but have only in the past few years starting talking about it. Feel free to chat with me any time. I certainly don’t know anything about being a parent to a child with epilepsy, but I can tell you firsthand what it is like to be on the other side–even being a mommy with epilepsy, something I never thought I’d be.

I’m a bit late on this one but, what makes me happy is my son’s easy transition to kindergarten. He is so confident and energetic in his new surroundings. The best of my day is a giant squeeze from him as he yells “Hi MommY!” when I pick him up. The other thing that’s making me happy today is leftover birthday cake with cheesecake filling and cream cheese frosting.
