What I know

5 Mar

I know that a drop of whipping cream weighs a tenth of a gram
I know the sparkle in my little girl’s eyes
And I know what it is to find it missing
I know I have talent and passion and intelligence
But I know fear, twin spires of regret and foolishness
I know this time of need will pass
I know I’ll have my life back
I know how short the months and years
And how long the afternoons
I know the bottom of the barrel, when all patience is exhausted
I know, I know I’ll find the strength

Beautiful Fawn. You are dead on about years and months being so short, yet an afternoon sometimes seems to last forever. Especially if you have a kid that is grumpy!!

You definitely deserve a mommy of the year award 🙂

    I’m right there with ya!
My husband took a pic of me and the kids last night and I looked so tired! Probably because I was SOOOOO tired! Then Naomi slept fitfully until 1 am when we had a giggle fest in my bed until 3 a.m. then she fell back asleep and this morning I woke, looked in the mirror and saw my eyes still had dark circles under them and I still looked tired!

I have to wonder how my Mum coped with 5 kids! Heck, the first FOUR were born in FIVE years!
    I’m pooped with two!

I’m always amazed that you are able to find *exactly* the right words to say. Sometimes I’ll find that Jillian’s in the way and I want her to go to sleep, and then when she is asleep, I’ll miss her and want to wake her up to spend time with her.
